Bruce gives Clark some time to settle into his own body and form after becoming Doomsday. He doesn't give him too much, though. He allows time for Clark to settle, shower, breathe, do what he needs to do.

Bruce spends that time lounging in the bed, scrolling through the network to pass the time, checking in with his security system tests and generally being quiet.

In truth?

Doomsday interrupted something, and Bruce is not going to wait any longer than it takes for Clark to walk through that bedroom door. He is done dancing around this. The time Clark gave him was needed at one point - and isn't anymore and hasn't been for a little bit.

So.

When Clark appears, Bruce uncoils from the bed with a stretch, stalks directly to him. Puts both his hands in Clark's hair, and kisses him. Not just kisses. Kisses with intent and a soft growl while he pulls Clark toward the bed. Teeth and tongue and sharp edges and lust and love all tangled up into action and now and this moment.

They are past due.

It's like some kind of dam bursting.

He doesn't say a single word

This is not the first time he has been this aggressively approached, this very firmly grabbed and dragged towards a bed by his partner. He can't say he's surprised, exactly so much as he's almost amused (not mocking just... delighted and that is why he moves like he's on a greased track, towards the bed, towards Bruce, and his hands are slow but not tentative as they get lost in Bruce's hair and around his waist.

There's a pause where it's clear he wants to ask, wants to check and make sure and give Bruce one last time to back out. But that moment passes, the flicker of a heartbeat to the next, and then he's going to start to carefully remove Bruce's clothing.

[ Christmas morning, afternoon, and evening, there are deliveries being made, and Elle has plenty to give. Clark receives a large tin of chocolate chip cookies. There is a card that reads:
